Chapter 1 (page 3)

At the same time a young doctor was courting a lovely young lady. She was lovely, sweet, pretty, a real slice right out of the American Pie, a gem all father's would be proud to call their daughter or daughter-in-law. He was young, good-looking, smart and a newly graduated Doctor. Yes, he was definitely the guy that every father wanted their daughter to marry.

And of course, with every young hot shot doctor, goes the slick shiny sports car. Yep, he had the complete package. He's a brand new Doc, smart, young, driving a snazzy sports car and a beauty riding shot-gun to boot. The car was a One-Owner 1956 356 1600 Super Porsche Speedster. He had picked it up after seeing it sitting on a lot just waiting for him to come along and buy it. No not the hottest fanciest Porsche made at that time, but a great choice for the young Doctor. He left the lot with the car.

Dr. Duane Tucker was born in Philadelphia, PA while his father was attending medical school. Coincidentally, Duane would circle back to the same city some 20-odd years later to attend medical school in the same city that his father did. After graduating medical school and getting an internship in Miami, Fl, the young Tucker happened to drive by the car lot where the 609 White Speedster was on display, waiting for its next owner

Dr. Tucker made the purchase without leaving the lot and the car quickly became a permanent part of his soul. Almost the same way a newborn baby enters into a new family, once it happens it's simply never the same.

Enjoying the "Sports Car - Top Down - conducive weather" offered by the greater Miami area, Dr. Tucker drove the car everywhere. He was a member of a local Miami sports car club, for which the name has been lost to antiquity, and he entered as many events that he possibly could. In the simplest of terms he loved the car and everything about it.
